COMMITTEES

The following represent the current standing committees in AACE. If you are interested in joining one of these committees please contact the chair of that committee listed below. New members are always welcome!

Bylaws and Ethics - This committee is responsible for overseeing the adherence and revision of the by-laws, as well as ethical concerns and considerations related to the practice of counseling, assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and research. The current chair for this committee is Donna Gibson.

Conference Committee - This committee is responsible for organizing and planning the national assessment conference for AACE. The committee chair for the 2011 national assessment conference in Fort Worth, Texas is Casey Barrio Minton.

Diversity in Assessment and Research - This committee is responsible for providing oversight of issues of diversity related to the purpose of AACE as indicated in the AACE by-laws. The current chair for this committee is Deneia Thomas.

Newsletter Committee - This committee is responsible for the design and production of the AACE quarterly newsletter, Newsnotes. The current chair for this committee is Amanda Healey.

Research Committee - This committee is responsible for promoting training and best practices in counseling research in accordance with the AACE mission. The current chair of the committee is Tara Hill.

Specialty Standards and Statements - This committee is responsible for collaborating with ACA divisions to provide, advise, and facilitate the formation of standards and statements related to the interests, mission, and purpose of AACE. The current chair for this committee is Janet Wall.
