PREVIOUS NATIONAL ASSESSMENT CONFERENCES:

The 10th annual National Assessment Conference was held this past September 14-15, 2012 at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida. Over 90 conference attendees participated in this year's conference which featured a keynote address by Dr. Rick Balkin and plenary sessions by Dr. Harry Daniels from the University of Florida and Dr. Andrew Daire from the University of Central Florida.

The 9th annual National Assessment Conference was held this past September 9-10, 2011 at the Radisson Fort Worth Fossil Creek in Fort Worth, Texas. Over 80 conference attendees participated in this year's conference which featured a keynote address by Dr. Bradley T. Erford, ACA President-Elect, and plenary sessions by Dr. Dayle Jones, Chairperson of the ACA DSM-5 Revisions Task Force and Dr. Catherine Chang, Past-President of Chi Sigma Iota.

The 8th annual National Assessment Conference was held this past September 10-11, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Memphis Airport in Memphis, Tennessee. Over 90 conference attendees participated in this year's conference. Dr. Don W. Locke, ACA President-Elect, provided the keynote address and spoke about the call to serve in our profession and how we as counselors could advocate for what we do and the clients we serve.

The 7th annual National Assessment Conference was held September 11-12, 2009 on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Over 100 conference attendees participated in this exciting event. Dr. Ted Remley provided the keynote address and encouraged the group to rethink some of their current perceptions on high stakes testing.

The 6th annual National Assessment Conference was held September 19-20, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. Over 40 educational sessions were offered to both beginning and advanced professionals. Highlighting the event was the keynote address provided by ACA President Dr. Colleen Logan. Dr. Logan's inspiring words were well received by all in attendance.

The 5th annual National Assessment Conference was held November 9-10, 2007 on the campus of Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta. By all accounts, the conference was a huge success! Several informative sessions, including the keynote speech delivered by Dr. Pam Paisley, made this conference a truly special event.

The 4th annual National Assessment Conference was held October 13-14, 2006 at the Embassy Suites in Greensboro, North Carolina. Attendees had several informative sessions to choose from in this two day event. Highlighting the weekend was Dr. Tom Clawson's, Executive Director of NBCC, keynote address on Friday afternoon. Dr. Clawson shared his vision for the future of counseling and assessment, including several new and exciting initiatives NBCC is pursuing.

The 3rd annual National Assessment Conference was held September 22-23, 2005 at the University of Georgia in Athens. Attendees were treated to two-days of high energy, intensive workshops presented by some of the foremost assessment experts in the country. Drs. Tom Harrington and William Sedlacek provided keynote addresses on Thursday and Friday to packed audiences.
